EXPERT IN THE AUTOMOTIVE, INDUSTRIAL AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENT MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY
Lawrence Lyng has over 30 years of successful international experience in the highly competitive and technically-driven automotive, industrial and electronic components manufacturing industry. He was responsible for CTS Corporation’s global automotive business unit and has held key executive positions at Valeo and ITT Automotive. Mr. Lyng has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in sales & business development, operations, strategic planning, M&A and joint ventures. Lawrence has initiated and led activities which yielded substantial reductions in both fixed costs and variable costs. His actions also include a transformational global manufacturing footprint realignment.
In addition to his experience in the North American market, Lawrence has dedicated a major portion of his career to the international aspects of today’s global marketplace. This includes a 3-year expatriate assignment in Germany and ten years working for the French automotive components and system supplier, Valeo. Furthermore, he has built many successful customer relationships and supplier relationships throughout the world. He has negotiated many joint ventures, licenses and new business development arrangements throughout the world.
Lawrence has served on the Board of Directors of a French – German automotive lighting systems joint venture. He has also served on the Board of Trustees for Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy in Pontiac, Michigan. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from Bradley University. In addition, he participated in development programs at Duke University, the Universitätsseminar der Wirtschaft, and the Center for Creative Leadership.
