– Muhammad Sami, former M&A Intern (currently working as Analyst at Morningstar)

“At Blackmore Partners, I ended working as a Deal Associate sourcing and pre-screening acquisition opportunities across various industries. The role was broadly defined and afforded a significant amount of autonomy within a deal-driven environment. The working environment is for someone who enjoys the variety in tasks and the fast paced-nature of the work. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into what attributes senior management are looking for in specific industries. This experience also gave me a holistic picture of the acquisition process, which was invaluable.

Finally, I enjoyed my experience here at Blackmore Partners. Regardless of any conditions, successfully landing a job in Private Equity will be very challenging. I recommend this program for recent graduates and career switchers who are highly motivated and looking to gain a competitive advantage in the interview room.

“Blackmore Partners is a good learning experience for someone trying to break into the world of finance. This internship allows get as close to the deal as your skill set will permit. If you put in the hard work, you can develop a very relevant skill set at Blackmore. These skills will become the foundation, which you can build on throughout your career. For me personally, the network I developed of M&A professionals, and the friends I made in the program along the way made this internship very valuable to build their own path forward.

— Zane Hendricks, Former M&A Intern (Currently working as Business Development Analyst at The Halifax Group)

“After working at Blackmore Partners, I began to develop and recognize myself professionally. Since I live by the saying “Everything happens for a reason” by Marilyn Monroe, I frequently reflect upon what Blackmore Partners has brought upon my life. At Blackmore Partners I clearly understood how the Private Equity industry worked as well as how to research information within Private Equity. In addition, I have developed a great skill with speaking on the phone while growing a thicker skin to take in rejection and criticism.

Furth, I realized that I have a great interest with planning and assisting the Managing Director, which is what I am currently striving to do. I am currently working at Bloomberg LP, and am building my analytical skills from where it was when I was working at BMP. Since BMP has provided me with great opportunities in building my interpersonal, and communication skills, I plan to embrace all these skills for my near future. From working at a small firm, I’ve learned to make the most out of the experiences and opportunities that I have, as well as to take the initiative to do what I want in my career.

Overall, it has already been over a year since I’ve been at BMP, and to see how much it has grown and to know that I was a part of it has given me more pride and confidence to show how I can make a difference. I hope the new interns can take in what I have taken from Blackmore Partners, and even more. I cannot thank you enough Gerald for providing me the opportunity to meet executives and to work alongside with you.

— Helen Wu, Former M&A Intern (Currently working as M&R Invoice Review Coordinator at TRAC Intermodal)

“My experience at Blackmore Partners definitely helped boost my career. After the internship in Blackmore Partners I have moved to London and worked there for 5 years in an online company where I developed the Asia-Pacific markets for their websites and took it to the market leader position. After that I took a part in launching a new global service and managed the business growth. I went from an intern position to the head of business development. In June, I moved to Poland and I am working as General Manager for Allegro Group.  I hope there will be a chance to reconnect next time I visit Chicago or NY.

“The internship program offers a great start to getting into the HR environment. It allows you to use the skills you learned in the class room and apply them to every day situations. When I interned at Blackmore, I was able to take the current program and enhance it to work with the changing diverse culture.”

— Margo Melton, Former HR Intern (Currently working as HR associate at Impart )

Blackmore is a very good place to start if you have little to no experience in Human Resources and you are just getting out of the university. I literally got my current job thanks to the internship and all the things I learned at Blackmore.  What I loved about Blackmore Partners was the opportunity to work across different parts of human resources like: recruitment, learning and development, training and last but not least talent acquisition.

The internship gives you the opportunity to learn more about the financial industry and to interact with people across all levels (interns, deal partners, C level) which will help you a lot if you want a career in human resources. Another thing, are the people you get to work with, they are all smart, motivated and super driven. They know what they want and what they have to do to get there.

Networking, another benefit you get out of BMP. They have access to incredible networking events where you meet amazing people from whom you can learn a bunch of stuff.

Overall, I enjoyed my time at Blackmore and I will definitely recommend the internship program.
