Analyst Internship

Blackmore Partners is searching for driven and ambitious candidates, seeking experience in working with Corporate and Private Equity. We currently have openings in two of our 6-month training programs starting on February 11th and April 1st, 2019.  Please send your resume for the application.

Internship Program:

Our Analyst internship program will provide you with the opportunity to break into this highly competitive industry. It will teach you valuable skills to prepare you for a career in our industry. In addition, our interns participate in a rotational program through all levels of our firm, depending on your ability and experience, giving you a comprehensive overview of the deal process, from deal generation, deal qualification and if possible, during your term, you may get involved in deal fundraising and closing.

Placed in small teams, you will be responsible for executing and monitoring critical segments of our business, starting with our front-end process (deal sourcing) and moving to our back-end process (deal qualification and funding) if you show the qualification in the program when we give you assignments. You will be responsible for executing your tasks while monitoring their impact and developing strategies to improve the quality and results of the teams you are in and the projects you are assigned.

Please note we DO NOT teach and do not require financial analysis or modeling skills, but we will test those who have the background and/or experience to be potentially involved in those assignments if available or needed. I.E. If you have the relevant experience and/or knowledge, once we have active deals proceed to the preparation stage or later stages, we will involve those who are qualified to be on the projects with our deal managers or partners.

This is a 6-month UNPAID internship and can be applied for credit if accepted at your university.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting extensive industry research and developing reports
  • Utilizing our database management tools and working on CRM process(SalesForce, Hoover)
  • Screening/qualifying executives for BMP process
  • Helping executives develop acquisition targets
  • Managing relationships with PEG’s
  • Conducting extensive research on target companies
  • Assisting in developing/ presenting acquisition proposals
  • Participating in deal sourcing, capital raising process, and campaigns

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Industry Skills/Experience

  • Screening and qualifying operational executives to work in PE industry
  • Client Relationship (CRM) database management

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Business or relevant field
  • Proven communication skills both verbal and written

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good research skills and ability to perform industry research on a timely manner
